A night of fun, frivolity, fashion and folly - the Bar Steward Sons of Val Doonican (BSSVD) yet again filled the Lantern Theatre in Sheffield for an evening of merriment with the lads from Barnsley

I have known these guys for over 20 years, they put the mad in madness, the ha in a-ha, the lice of the police and the tic on the arctic monkeys. The lyrics are pure genius, telling stories of everyday life in Yorkshire that most will relate to. They are now legendary for their energetic, off the wall, anything goes live performances at festivals across the country and if you get the chance to see them, just do it.

They have been doing a gig at the Lantern Theatre in Sheffield for many years and it always sells out, as well as continuing to break the record for bar sales by any single act there. Any band that can extract the urine out of the themselves and others and do it well, happily get my vote. Now doing the 'never ending tour of everywhere', in theatres and clubs across the country, as legend has human being in the British Isles is ever more than five miles away from a Bar-Steward Sons of Val Doonican concert at any given now there is just no excuse.

I hope you enjoy the madness that happens when they visit your tarn!
