Sparking at Campfire this week: We announce our World Harmony summer solstice event; we're opening it up to volunteers, Julie Horsley talks about The Orchard, we salute the vision of permaculture founder Bill Mollison , Henry Sparks 'Visions of Eden', Jason Hine warns against the 'suicide' of reopening economies too early, Beth Salmon's hi-vibe kitchen cooks up a vegan nettles stew and we have created guidelines in the spirit of positive posting after some recent contentious posts and discussions on our Facebook group.

Since the unforseen cancellation of our two summer events, we've been busy working out what we can bring our ticket holders instead. We would like to thank so many of you who have left your ticket purchase invested in Campfire and we think we have come up with a concept that might appeal.

We will be staging a six-space Global Harmony weekend over summer solstice, combining the elements of The Little Chill with a range of diverse attractions suitable for those who might have attended Campout 2020; inspiring talks, forums, live music, poetry, audio-visual, DJ sets, nature exploration, plus a body & soul and healing space. This process already feels like it is prompting the co-creation of a new model where we can collectively dream into being a diverse and fun session with potential for shaping a framework for future online gatherings.

We already have an amazing line-up of talent coming through from only a few days of initial invitations (click below to view our invitees and book tickets - little more than the price of three cups of coffee) and part of our rationale for doing this is to help fund our active contributors,  then we will be able to share any surplus amongst this creatribe of genuises working towards your enlightenment upgrade!

Even if you can't get to your screen or mobile over that weekend, your support would still count for a lot and help keep Campfire active. Tickets available via Ticket Tailor includes a 'pay what you feel' for our creatribe.

PICK YOUR OWN IN THE ORCHARD SPACE

One of our most original and exciting spaces at our GLOBAL HARMONY online festival will be The Orchard, which is about nature connections. "The focus of The Orchard is on our blessings and sharing our innate connection with the land, the elements and the sacred. It offers us opportunities to integrate the polarities with the convergence of powerful energies at this time of the year."

WOULD YOU LIKE TO GET INVOLVED THE WORLD HARMONY EVENT AND BE INSPIRED?

With six spaces live over three days, we are looking for administrative and technical help as well as people to help promote and share our various events across social media, which look likely to feature over 100 speakers, music artists, body & soul practitioners and creatives. We would like to hear from you especially if you are reasonably tech savvy but also if you'd like to learn from being part of our collective experience.

HENRY SPARKS : VISIONS OF EDEN

Henry Sparks' video 'Visions Of Eden' is a walk on Easter Day 2020 with musical accompaniment. Henry says "I welcome the idea of 'tough hope'. The idea of being able to grasp at something solid to counter the seemingly endless amnesiac march to the right which ignores the lessons of the history of Europe in the last 100 years.'

JASON HINE : REOPENING ECONOMIES TOO EARLY IS A RISKY AND SUICIDAL STRATEGY

"People who say: "The coronavirus is nothing significant", or "it is just something we have manifested", or "it is only media hysteria" or "it will only affect people of a low vibration" are displaying their rank and privilege to do what they want with a callous disregard for those older or unwell people who are at most risk from the virus"
