Sparking at Campfire this week: We announce our World Harmony summer solstice event; we're opening it up to volunteers, Julie Horsley talks about The Orchard, we salute the vision of permaculture founder Bill Mollison , Henry Sparks 'Visions of Eden', Jason Hine warns against the 'suicide' of reopening economies too early, Beth Salmon's hi-vibe kitchen cooks up a vegan nettles stew and we have created guidelines in the spirit of positive posting after some recent contentious posts and discussions on our Facebook group.
Since the unforseen cancellation of our two summer events, we've been busy working out what we can bring our ticket holders instead. We would like to thank so many of you who have left your ticket purchase invested in Campfire and we think we have come up with a concept that might appeal.
We will be staging a six-space Global Harmony weekend over summer solstice, combining the elements of The Little Chill with a range of diverse attractions suitable for those who might have attended Campout 2020; inspiring talks, forums, live music, poetry, audio-visual, DJ sets, nature exploration, plus a body & soul and healing space. This process already feels like it is prompting the co-creation of a new model where we can collectively dream into being a diverse and fun session with potential for shaping a framework for future online gatherings.
We already have an amazing line-up of talent coming through from only a few days of initial invitations (click below to view our invitees and book tickets - little more than the price of three cups of coffee) and part of our rationale for doing this is to help fund our active contributors, then we will be able to share any surplus amongst this creatribe of genuises working towards your enlightenment upgrade!
Even if you can't get to your screen or mobile over that weekend, your support would still count for a lot and help keep Campfire active. Tickets available via Ticket Tailor includes a 'pay what you feel' for our creatribe.
