We all came back home - to Selgars Mill for our second Trailblazers weekend, a heady, moving mix. The three days were a feast for the imagination, the senses, the mind, the body, the spirit and the heart. Connections, words, music, singing, conversations, talks, poetry, yoga, dancing, fireside gatherings, walks in nature, delicious home-cooked food. And lots more magic besides.

The first Selgars Mill Campfire Trailblazers weekend exceeded all my expectations. It was beautiful, joyous, educational, connecting, nourishing and at times, ecstatic. Special thanks to Sarah, Ben and the team for making it happen.

COMING BACK TO LIFE

We all come back home eventually.

However much we stare into the distance, what matters is already here.

In the bright fire in the sky of a winter morning, in the tiny grasp of a baby's promise,

in the eyelight of those presence we treasure,

in the rising murmur of countless wings of starlings rising from grey fields.

These things matter, because they remind us of our short-lived souls.
